Two days later, the entire family of six spent a joyful afternoon at my house. Sarah and Collins also joined us. I splurged and bought everyone a soda to accompany the banana bread I’d baked. They had already moved into their three-room mud house and had found casual labor weeding a maize field. We again told stories and laughed together for several hours.
Hope and determination.

That is a great read . . . wouldn't it be awesome if everyone had the same hope and determination? Sheer willpower sometimes will get to places you never imagined!
