Conquering Camelback Mountian
I had a good time visiting Zach in Phoenix recently.
The trail is listed as "strenuous and difficult" and is "recommended only for experienced hikers".
The trail is 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) one way; it gains 1,264 feet (385 meters) in elevation. In other words... it's a very steep and constant incline! It seemed we were constantly climbing over boulders!
It was a bit of a struggle, but I managed to make it to the summit! We were rewarded with the very cool sight of hummingbirds hovering from one minuscule flower to another.
It was 101 degrees Fahrenheit (38C) when we finished! We were lucky, though... the sky was overcast and a breeze came by every now and then!

WOW! You not only "visited" all your family, but you did such great and challenging situations with them. Awesome way to see them. Love Jessica's and Naomi's blogs and seeing Zach and Terran (my student). Love your new blog format and reading and viewing pics. Marge
