Kenya Votes for a New Constitution

With almost a 70% vote for "yes", Kenyans overwhelmingly voted for a new constitution during the August 4th referendum. Seven of the eight provinces convincingly endorsed it.

The current document was written in London in 1960.

An official ceremony will be held on Friday, August 27th to ratify the new document. This is a pivotal moment in Kenya's history!
