The Stuff Arrives!

We shopped at six different places.

Chairman accompanied us and then collected everything from each place.

He hired this “mkokoteni” (hand cart) to have it delivered.

By the way, in the background of this photo, you can see Joe’s house.

Almost simultaneously, another mkokoteni arrived with a bed frame for Joe, donated by Virginia (Bishop’s church administrator). She had also donated a bed frame and mattress for Omandi (Bishop’s keyboard player) and a baby cot for Henry’s (the church compound caretaker) and his wife’s youngest child. There was much rejoicing on the compound! Everyone is excited for Joe. They’ve all been quite concerned about his home life and the status of his health.

Here’s Joe moving the headboard of his bed for the sake of a photo.

He’s actually too weak to help with such tasks.

Omandi with a part of his new bed. He’s comparing it to his tall height.

Joe is so overjoyed. He kept saying over and over, “It’s a miracle. I’m so amazed. I don’t know how to express my gratitude.”

Omandi quickly interjected, “You know, God sees the end from the beginning. This was a good thing that God had in mind for you, Joe. The wonderful thing is that you’ve never put your trust in man; you’ve maintained your trust in God. Now, just the same way God created the world and declared it to be good as each thing took its shape… as we help to arrange your house with all these items, it will also be good. We’ll all watch as your new house takes shape!”

Thanks so much to those of you that contributed and those of you that are praying for him! Please continue!
